Superintendent Review

This is where Ask a Super differs from traditional lawn care advice.

Your lawn is reviewed using the same evaluation process golf course superintendents use when diagnosing turfgrass issues on the properties they manage. Rather than focusing on a single symptom, we look at the entire system to understand what factors may be contributing to the condition of your lawn.

We review your photos alongside your maintenance history, local climate, growing conditions, property characteristics, and stated goals. Shade patterns, drainage concerns, irrigation practices, fertility programs, seasonal conditions, and turf stress are all considered as part of the review process.

Golf course superintendents spend their careers managing living turf systems. Success rarely comes from one product or one quick fix. More often, it comes from understanding the relationship between environment, maintenance practices, and plant health. That same approach is applied to every lawn submitted through Ask a Super.

We also consider practical limitations. Recommendations are built around your available time, equipment, budget, and level of commitment. The goal isn't to create a perfect lawn on paper. The goal is to create a realistic plan that can actually be implemented.
